Promoting AI Transformation in Government Agencies and State-Owned Enterprises, Ministry of Digital Affairs Opens Applications for Data Innovation Support
To cultivate data literacy and AI application skills among civil servants and drive innovation in government operations through data, the Ministry of Digital Affairs (the MODA) promotes data application support for government agencies and state-owned enterprises. Focusing on three major application areas—optimizing Public Services, Implementing Key National Policies, and Developing Cross-domain Collaborations—the MODA provides consultation, guidance, and technical support to government agencies and state-owned enterprises to generate more creative and innovative approaches in public governance.
The MODA stated that a panel of data coaches will evaluate applications for data application support proposals from government agencies and state-owned enterprises. The selected teams will then be paired with cross-disciplinary experts serving as mentors. Over four months, these mentors will provide customized guidance, leading agencies step by step toward innovation and transformation. Applications for data innovation support are open for registration from now until noon on October 4. More information can be found at the following link: https://data.gov.tw/news/28696
The MODA pointed out that they recently held the second briefing for the Data Innovation Application Support Project for Government Agencies and State-Owned Enterprises to encourage government agencies and state-owned enterprises to develop innovative services using data. At the event, data coaches shared case studies from the first cohort, showcasing how teams used data to create innovative AI services. Additionally, teams from the previous cohort shared their AI transformation experiences. The event, including in-person and online sessions, attracted over 60 government units.
